I am throwing a 50th birthday party for my mother?

in a private room in a restaurant. It will be set up tail party style with a few table around for some seating but mostly open to let people socialize. The restaurant provides linens but they are just a plain cream color and I want to jazz it up a little and make it look nice. I think I'm going to go with cream and gold for the color choices. I want to make centerpieces for the table that are nice but not too expensive using the gold and cream colors. Preferably using some small candles to add some soft lighting. Any ideas? Any good websites? Please help with any ideas!
